Environment Energy and Enterprise Ventures Private Limited (e³V) is a social venture capital investment and advisory firm providing incubation, first-tier equity capital, guarantees, loans, and financial structuring and engineering services as well as management expertise to develop pioneer micro-scale ventures in rural regions of the Indian Himalayas. The Company also provides related financial advisory services to companies, entrepreneurs, foundations, NGOs, multi- and bi-lateral donors, and financial institutions working to develop similar ventures in Brazil, the Caribbean, China, and India. 

e³V’s goal is to promote healthy rural eco-systems by encouraging financially, socially, and environmentally sustainable investments in rural communities.  The Company works towards the development of sustainable mechanisms that ensure a diverse and nourishing food supply and stable, reliable, renewable supplies of energy in rural communities.  e³V’s primary objectives are to create wealth for the greatest number of people practicing organic agriculture as well as for investors in subject ventures, to strengthen biodiversity, and to build a constituency base for conservation. The Company works to attain these goals and objectives through the practice of incubating and investing in ventures that are socially responsible, ecologically sound, and financially viable integrating environmental, economic, and social concerns in a way that can be maintained in a healthy state indefinitely. 

The Company builds upon its team’s hands-on experiences in identifying income generating opportunities that respect the fragile eco-systems where the Company operates and structuring these opportunities into commercially viable ventures that provide financial incentives for the increased use of organic agricultural technologies and renewable and energy efficient systems.  The team also works to identify and study the best practices for subject ventures and customizing such to meet local conditions.  All members of the e³V team also work on a part-time basis for a small-scale organic processing unit located in a remote part of the Indian Himalayas.  The experiences and knowledge base developed through this work form the base of e³V’s work in other parts of India and in rural regions of other similarly situated developing countries.
